Positive: I had a wonderful stay at Pumba Luxury Camp. I was one of the first guests, as it has only been open for a few months and was extremely impressed with the professional acumen of the staff and brand new luxury tents and facilities. I took a chance knowing that there were no reviews available and I sure am I glad I did! I traveled throughout Tanzania on my as a solo female traveler and felt perfectly safe in the hands of Pumba Luxury Camp. I have been to other safari camps, but this was the first time I got to take a bubble bath in the Serengeti!!!! Not to mention that the tents are equipped with plenty of hot water (which is hard to come by in the area). So amazing. The staff was very friendly and always able to accomodate my requests. The food was generous (especially during the evening meal). The chef and kitchen staff are incredibly talented and produce incredible meals out of a single tent with a few burners for a kitchen. (Sidenote for those concerned about tummy troubles - no need to worry here - the kitchen staff is very careful to ensure everything is cleaned properly). I was also able to coordinate private game drives with a very knowledgable guide and pickup/drop-off from the Seronera airstrip through the proerty (all you need to do is ask). This property is exactly as pictured and you can expect a very welcoming and accomodating staff. The added bonus of zebras, water buffalo and elephants outside your porch incredible! Do NOT HESITATE to stay here if you are looking for reasonably priced luxury accomodation in the Serengeti.
